Safety and clearance checks
Before using the DX2 Ultra, please check that the unit is securely fitted and has enough space to move freely. The platform moves the seat in pitch and roll, so it is important to make sure nothing can touch, catch or restrict the seat during operation.
Before your first proper session, check:
- All bolts, brackets and seat rails are securely tightened
- The seat is centred and firmly mounted
- There is clearance around the seat shoulders, side bolsters and rear of the seat
- Shifters, handbrakes, button boxes and rig side profiles are not in the path of movement
- Power and USB cables are routed safely and cannot be pulled, trapped or pinched
- Nothing loose is stored under or around the moving platform
- Your rig is stable and sitting securely on the floor
After installation, we recommend running a low-intensity motion test in SimHub while watching the seat from the side and rear. Start gently, confirm that nothing touches, and only increase motion strength once you are happy that the setup is secure.
If you hear unusual clunking, scraping or knocking, stop using the unit and check the installation before continuing. If you are unsure, send us photos or a short video of your setup and we’ll be happy to help.
